The easiest way is with a pair of vise grip pliers and a strip of rubber inner tube or leather to protect the post, grip it just firmly enough to be able to turn it, and it'll come out. Another way is to use two nuts same thread size as the post, screw them onto the post a little way and tighten them against each other, they'll grip the post. Then turn the lower one to unscrew the post. this is a mechanic's trick called "double nutting".Anonymoushttps://www.blogger.com/profile/02767593614422128721noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4140642955858547880.post-42786862402859134002015-09-15T18:06:24.178-04:002015-09-15T18:06:24.178-04:00beautiful job.beautiful job.dehttps://www.blogger.com/profile/10890405114377078736noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4140642955858547880.post-29349014514022167892014-04-17T14:38:50.644-04:002014-04-17T14:38:50.644-04:00perfect...perfect...joe tainohttp://www.joetaino.comnoreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-4140642955858547880.post-84152309712219679922013-09-01T12:58:21.496-04:002013-09-01T12:58:21.496-04:00Hi,

FYI, you were actually correct the first time; this guitar is a Deluxe and would have shipped with MHB's. The two piece top went away with the 50's style neck joint and the P-90s in June '69. P90's do fit, but that's not what a Deluxe came with, I remember when they first came out.Anonymousnoreply@blogger.com
